Daventry CC ride to support Prostate Cancer Research

25 May by Paul Clifton

The recent Club Ride to Gumley Pop-up Café successfully supported Queniborough Cycling Club’s annual fundraiser for Prostate Cancer Research, attracting over 150 riders from various clubs and groups despite challenging single-track lanes and less-than-ideal weather. Early visitors were Hinkley CC, refuelling on a 120 mile ride to Hunstanton. Then 30
Queniborough riders arrived in 3 staged groups of 10, plus other cycling clubs and
groups invited from the Leicestershire area and beyond. It was good to feel part of a
wider cycling community.
Participants enjoyed homemade cakes and warm drinks, fostering a strong sense of community, while the event raised over £1300 for charity—a significant achievement. It was great that we had a good turn from Daventry CC – well done all.
